Disclaimer: Planning to work with Scott? Expect to hear... "motion is lotion"... "exercise is medicine"... and "bonus reps" fairly often.

About Scott

Scott holds an Honours B.Sc. in Human Kinetics from the University of Guelph. While studying for a second degree in Applied Human Nutrition, Scott became a University of Guelph-certified weight training specialist and started personal training. He continued his education but stuck with exercise as his primary mode of medicine and became a certified kinesiologist. After a few years, he returned to his routes in resistance training and has been a strength-focused coach and personal trainer ever since.

His studies and research have taken him to many corners, highlighted by deep exploration of Neurokinetic Therapy (NKT) levels, I and II, Functional Movement Systems (FMS) levels, I and II and Dr. Stuart McGill's ultimate back programming.

Turning Point

The most pivotal point of his career was beginning to work with a research-focused Person with Parkinson’s Disease (PWP). Since then, something about the incredible power of exercise as medicine and its obvious functional benefits came together, informing his approach to teaching and promoting movement be it for young athletes or adults working with chronic conditions like Parkinson's Disease, Dystonia, Hashimoto's or chronic pain.

Where to find Scott.

Scott has held teaching positions at the University of Guelph-Humber, Humber College and Yoga Teacher Training Programs. He loves to work with groups, but his passion remains 1:1 Personal Training and the natural learning and tutoring environments he co-creates with his clients. There’s nothing like aha moments and being part of someone developing mastery, personal understanding, and confidence in their bodies.

You can find Scott online, in his Toronto clinics bi-weekly or building his physical literacy and strength-focused training facility in Chatham-Kent… otherwise, he’s likely chasing his kids around or chopping wood.
